Summer Glau was an American actress, best famous for her role as River Tam in Firefly, the critically-acclaimed TV series. She was also Cameron on Terminator. Sarah Connor Chronicles. Alongside these, she also starred in the series The 4400 The Unit The Cape Arrow Sequestered and Angel Cold Case The Big Bang Theory Chuck and co-starring in the popular series Hawaii Five-0. Selena began her career at the age of eight in a group founded by Abraham Quintanilla. Selena performed as the lead guitarist of the band, along with her two older siblings Abraham junior playing base, and Sister Suzette performing drums. Selena acted as the singer. Selena Y Los Dino is the name of the band and Selena performed along with her elder siblings at events like weddings and bars, and other venues. Selena was not able to enjoy a full time in her childhood because the band needed a lot of time. But their father Abraham was determined to encourage his children and make them passionate musicians. Abraham senior was also a musician with the band that was originally known as Los Dinos. Selena Y Los Dinos began to form in 1981. It was Quintanilla's family's business and main source of income. Although there were tough times in the beginning, with a lack of money the Quintanilla family stood firm and persevered with their efforts to become a successful band. Selena Y Los Dinos, the band that gained traction in Western States by the middle of the decade was the outcome of their persistence. Selena won the Female Vocalist Award and the Performer's Award at the Tejano Awards in 1986. Selena Y Los Dinos became famous and recognized after this point.
